What is a Latte?
- While the name may be Italian in origin, the Latte is undoubtedly very popular and a favorite way to enjoy coffee in America because of its simple, mellow flavour.
- One shot of espresso mixed with 6 to 8 ounces of steamed milk, instead, if you prefer, topped with foam. It is officially known as Plain White, without the foam.
- The ingredients and the preparation process are what set a latte apart from other coffee drinks. A typical latte is made of six to eight ounces of steamed milk, and an espresso shot. Larger lattes are often made from a double espresso shot. For both taste and appearance, the beverage can also be filled with foam.
